Story of the Broken Girl

I ordered the Mates Dates book series by cathy Hopkins, there age range is 12 and up and i'm (almost) 17. The girls in the book are 14 so its not that bad and i like reading books like this where is all teenage drama. The ones with younger characters are usually more funnier and easier to get to grips with.

The book club i'm apart of, some of the members where saying that the books whouldn't expand my range and where a bit young but i see that the whole point of reading is to enjoy the book.

And i read books for women and older teenagers all the time. I just wanted a change to relax with. One of the members of the book club puts alot of pressure on me to read at a higher level. She read war and peace when she was 9 i believe. But i like reading to get lost in the story, not to "expand my range".

Oh crap, Maths exam tomorow! Haven't studied for it yet :s

Yes we were drawing with twigs today for art. Stick and ink drawings.  I wanna paint! not ink. Heh its no fair. And I haven't been able to do part of the course cause of problems at home and stuff so i got told today aswell that i have to do these pieces or i'm out of college. *sigh* crap.

And tonight i have to go babysit casue my sister's ex husband is threatening to take my niece away and i'm the only one who stands up to him. I only do it becasue he's a prat and men shouldn't be able to push women around.

I don't watch much tv but whwen i do i become obsesed(sp). And there usually shows that i can relate too in my life like nearly famous, I love it and the guy is so cute and the girl Lyla just is so weird i love her.

But the series just ended and they were singing the Hallelujah song Jeff Buckley sung. it was so sad and i cried! Owen got kicked out of the college and Lyla lost her V to Ash

Now i have to wait for new series of skins in Feb. Heh i'm all upset now.

I've noticed that my art course involves alot more drawing and making things than painting. My last subject was music and we drew sketches in chalk, pen, biro, pencil, oil pastle and anythin else you can think of. Then we made mini models of our drawings then made one big one out of our favorite. Then we photographed that about 200 times before we picked one picture and then we drew that out on a larger scale.

And finaly we were allowed 4 hours to paint in on a canvas 3 months, 5 hours a week plus 2-4 extra hours work a week in college and 3-5 hours out of school a week. Makes a maximum of 14 hours and a minimum of 10 hours in a week. 12 weeks is 120 hours and only 4 of them were used for painting.

And now were doing a new subject. Decay. so were drawing(Yes more drawing!) fish skeleton's and making cubes out of twigs. Not good when your best Art bit is painting. Meh, crap.

I haven't written on here in so long! I got so busy with starting 6th form i sorta forgot about you all. But i'm Back and I'm better and i must keep this blog up. It will be one of my new years resolusion things but i'll start it a little earlier so it will be a before new years resolution.

Yer so I'm gonna go catch up on your lives(if i can) and see what you've all been doing.

I never really was much of a story writer. Problem with my brain from being premiture, I could imagi the whole thing out in my head perfectly but when it came to writing it down the words just seemed to disapear and i'd get stuck really easily. But last night i drifted off and dreamed a little and when i woke up at some rediculous hour like 3 am and i just started writing down the dream and filling in the gaps and it went quite well, then my brain began working and started carrying on with the dream like it was a story.
So i've decided to write it out as blog story type thing. I'll give you all the link just before i go on holiday in 6 days. And i hope you like it. And i hope i can keep it up.

I have applied make up to sit around the house in my PJ's. Wow. What a fun life i do lead, its all parties and socal events for me, not. Pfft i hate summer holidays can't wait to go to spain in 8 days! And yet to top it all off my Ipod broke my new one too. And i've no credit. God i'm such a teenage drama queen.

Well, got my niece again and we're toilet training her before we go on holiday so we wont have to take 5 million nappies with us. Just the swimable ones. Its fun i guess but since she got here like an hour ago she's managed to wee on the guest bed and the kitchen floor, aswell as using the toilet twice. Just means two extra pairs of knickers to wash.

Its kinda sad that i know all the nursary rhymes and its not because we have Cbeebies on all day. Its becuase i still have my some books and tapes from when i was little. But i can't remember on the miss polly rhyme what comes after "and the doctor came with his bag on his hat, and he knocken on the door with a ratta tat tat...".
